My lanterns represent the contrast between light and darkness. In Iceland we are affected by light in more ways than many can imagine.
The midnight sun shines brightly during our beautiful summer and sometimes the darkness seems to go on forever through our long winter months.
Each lantern is named after different shades of either light or dark and is carefully carved out and painted in white porcelain by me with the love and attentiveness I have for ceramics, making each one unique and made just for you.
